I am trying to scrap all my pictures in order so one day I will be caught up (yes, it will happen!). This is the first of many Birthday pages for Kaya's 4th Birthday party. I love the rainbow paper I found at A Cherry On Top scrapbook store.
We had so much fun sledding at Grandma and Grandpa Hauf''s house. Papa Bill started up the International and got the turtle lid from the old sand box, which worked great and didn't even break, and off we went out to one of the pastures. Besides the occasional frozen turds hitting our tail ends everything went really well. The kids would fall off and up they got to run after the sled. I can't remember the last time we laughed this much. Clayton did figure out if he leaned a certain way he could ditch him and his sister!! Oh, the fun they had!!! Then, I got on and all three of us went around the pasture. Mike really wanted to drive while I was on the back to try and ditch me in the snow!! I am glad I always had a kid with me!! Back in the house with all of us frozen and Grandma made us coffee and hot cocoa to warm us up and we watched a movie by the fire. What a great day!!!
Today all of us were going stir crazy in the house so we all got bundled up and went out to the barn. There is something about the smell of hay, sawdust, and horses that can clear a persons mind. All is forgotten when you see a pony that just a month ago could not walk and today we opened her stall door and out she ran and bucked and played! We thought that we were going to have to break our children's hearts and put the love of their life down this winter. Thank goodness we found out she had a thyroid problem and got her on medicine. What a blessing! So, I guess next time we find ourselves going crazy in the house during these long winter months it will be out to the barn for the Byers family!!!
Okay, I have decided to give digital scrapbooking a go! These are my very first pages I did from scratch today on my computer. I am so thankful a friend of mine, Denise, came and helped me muddle through these pages. I can't wait to do more!!!
