I am trying out digital scrapbooking so I signed up for a free trial. These are my very first pages I sampled. The pictures were some of the family pictures taken at Flash Digital Portraits in Valley West Mall. And yes, I did buy the rights to these pictures so I won't get thrown in jail for using them. I am really excited about digital scrapbooking. It is so much faster than using paper!! Now, I just need to find out how expensive it is to get them printed for my books. To be continued......

Christmas is a time to be thankful for all of the things in our life. It is a time of year to reflect on all the Outstanding people that impact us on a daily basis. One of those people in our life is our home school liaison, Leslie. She is always here for us to ask questions and give great advice. We would truly be lost without her.

This year we went to the pumpkin patch with Grandma Byers and cousins, Dan and Katie Moss. We had a wonderful time going through the corn maze, finding the perfect pumpkin in the patch, riding the tractor, swimming in the corn pool, feeding the Elk, and eating fudge with family. The kids always have a great time when Dan and Katie come for a visit.
The Giant Pumpkin!!!
This year my dad got given a Giant pumpkin in trade for all of his manure. What a great trade!! Clayton and Kaya loved decorating for fall with Grandma and Grandpa Hauf. They wanted to carve the pumpkin. Little did they know that it would take a chain saw to do that. The pumpkin weighed 900lbs!!! As you can see, they didn't try to carve it!!!
This year for Halloween we went into Maxwell to trick-or-treat with our friends Morgan and Marshall Day on Thursday night. The kids had a great time going from house to house and ended up with buckets of candy! Kaya thought she was the most beautiful princess and Clayton was the scary Davey Jones. Then, the next day we got up and drove to Chicago to trick-or-treat with Nathan and Adam. And again, the kids had a great time going around the block getting even more candy. We hope to make this an annual visit!!
